Itinerary

ItineraryFull itinerary8 stops

Pickup from Jaipur

Pickup is available from any hotel, residence, or airport in Jaipur. If you wish to see the sunrise, you can start at 2:00 AM; otherwise you can choose any pickup time from 2:30 AM to 8:00 AM. The drive to Agra takes around 4 hours by road, arriving in time for a relaxed morning at the Taj Mahal.

Arrive in Agra — Meet Your Guide

On arrival in Agra, your private guide greets you before the first monument and accompanies you through the day’s sightseeing, sharing the history of each monument.

Visit the Taj Mahal

Marvel at the magnificent Taj Mahal, built by Emperor Shah Jahan in 1632 in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. In the morning light the white marble stands radiant against the Agra sky, the inlay work and Persian gardens showing their full detail. Your guide shares its story and helps you photograph the monument from each of its principal aspects.

A note on Friday visits:

The Taj Mahal interior is closed every Friday for prayer. If your tour date falls on a Friday, the tour still runs in full — your guide takes you to the Yamuna riverside viewpoint, where the monument rises beautifully across the water. Agra Fort and the Baby Taj remain open as usual.

Breakfast Break

After the Taj Mahal, pause for breakfast at a restaurant of your choice (optional add-on) before continuing the day’s sightseeing.

Visit Agra Fort — UNESCO World Heritage Site

Explore the majestic Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site built by Emperor Akbar in 1573. Walk through its grand courtyards, palaces, and halls, and enjoy a view of the Taj Mahal from its ramparts.

Lunch Break

Pause for lunch at a restaurant of your choice (optional add-on) in Agra before the afternoon’s sightseeing.

Visit Baby Taj — Tomb of Itimad-ud-Daulah

Visit the exquisite Baby Taj, commissioned by Noor Jahan for her father Ghiyas Beg. Its delicate marble inlay work and Persian gardens are considered a jewel of Mughal architecture.

Fatehpur Sikri (Optional Visit)

Fatehpur Sikri is a beautiful UNESCO-listed Mughal city on the road between Agra and Jaipur. It is offered as an optional add-on rather than a standard inclusion because the site requires a separate entry ticket, a shared shuttle bus from the parking lot, and a local government-approved guide — all of which add cost. It sits conveniently on the return route; please request it at the time of booking. Because it is on the way, adding it extends the day by around 1 hour — the visit itself is roughly 45 minutes.

US$30 per person — includes monument entry ticket, shuttle bus, and local guide.

Return Drive to Jaipur

After sightseeing, relax during the drive back to Jaipur — around 4 hours by road. Drop-off is at any hotel, residence, or airport in Jaipur. Travelers continuing onward can request a Delhi drop-off instead (see Optional Add-Ons).
