October to March is the comfortable season, with clear skies and mild days. April to June is very hot — genuinely difficult in the middle of the day. July to September brings the monsoon, which is green, cheaper and less crowded, with rain that usually comes in bursts rather than all day.

Can the itinerary be changed?
