Day 2Option A — Old Delhi (5 Hours)4 stops

Pickup time for Option A

You may choose any pickup time from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Red Fort — Photo Stop from Outside

Begin at the Red Fort, the red sandstone fortress built by Shah Jahan and completed in 1648, when the Mughal capital moved from Agra to Delhi. It served as the principal imperial residence for nearly two centuries and is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The fort is viewed from outside, so no entrance ticket is required.

Jama Masjid — India’s Largest Mosque

Visit Jama Masjid, among the largest mosques in India and the great landmark of Old Delhi. Explore the vast courtyard and red sandstone architecture while your guide explains its Mughal history and religious significance. Modest dress is required and your guide provides a head and shoulder cover at no extra cost; the mosque may close to visitors during prayer times.

Chandni Chowk — Cycle-Rickshaw Ride

Ride a cycle-rickshaw through the narrow lanes of Chandni Chowk, one of Old Delhi’s oldest and busiest markets. Pass historic shopfronts, crowded bazaars and food stalls while your guide explains the life of the quarter. The rickshaw ride is included on the Old Delhi and Full-Day options.

Khari Baoli — Asia’s Largest Spice Market

Walk through Khari Baoli, one of Asia’s largest wholesale spice markets, where the lanes are stacked with spices, dried fruit, nuts and herbs traded here for generations. The market is free to enter.

Where Option A Ends

If you have booked the Half-Day Old Delhi Tour, the sightseeing finishes here and your driver returns you to your chosen address anywhere across Delhi NCR. If you have booked the Full-Day Old & New Delhi Tour, you continue with the same guide and driver into the New Delhi section below.

Day 3Option B — New Delhi (6.5 Hours)5 stops

Pickup time for Option B

You may choose any pickup time from 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

India Gate, Rashtrapati Bhavan & Parliament House — Drive Past

Drive past India Gate, the 42-meter memorial raised to the Indian soldiers who died in the First World War, then continue along the ceremonial avenue toward Rashtrapati Bhavan, the official residence of the President of India, and Parliament House, the seat of the national government. Your guide explains the architecture and history of the government quarter as you pass. A brief photo stop may be possible depending on traffic and security restrictions.

Akshardham Temple — Modern Sandstone Masterwork

Visit Akshardham Temple, a vast Hindu complex built from sandstone and marble using traditional craftsmanship. Explore the main temple and the landscaped gardens while your guide explains the carvings, architecture and religious significance. Entry to the temple and gardens is free.

Before You Enter Akshardham

Mobile phones, cameras, bags and electronic items are not permitted inside and must be deposited at the free cloakroom. Airport-style security screening applies, shoes are removed, and modest clothing is required. The exhibitions, boat ride and evening water show are not included in this tour.

Meal Break — Connaught Place

Pause for a meal in Connaught Place, where your guide will suggest a suitable local multi-cuisine restaurant. You are welcome to take the recommendation or choose another nearby restaurant to your own taste. Meals are not included in the tour price but may be added in advance — see Optional Add-Ons.

Humayun’s Tomb — UNESCO World Heritage Site

Visit Humayun’s Tomb, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and among the finest Mughal buildings in Delhi. Walk the formal gardens and symmetrical enclosures around the red sandstone mausoleum while your guide traces its influence on later architecture, the Taj Mahal included.

Qutub Minar — UNESCO World Heritage Site

Conclude at Qutub Minar, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the tallest brick minaret in the world, rising 73 meters above the historic Qutub complex. Explore the red sandstone tower, the surrounding ruins, the mosque and the celebrated Iron Pillar with your guide.

Lotus Temple — An Optional Swap

If you would rather see the Lotus Temple — the Bahá’í House of Worship shaped like an opening lotus and welcoming visitors of every faith — we will exchange it for Qutub Minar at no extra cost. Please request the swap at the time of booking. Note that the Lotus Temple is closed on Mondays.

Day 4Option C — Old & New Delhi (9 Hours)2 stops

You may choose any pickup time from 7:00 AM to 12:00 noon.
